Translucent structures
The development of the translucent structures has been
continueing more than one century from the windows to
the band glazing and fully glazed facades. Construction
of translucent structures includes vitrages, winter gardens,
swinging doors, pyramids, domes, office partitions, translucent
roofs and facades. The use of such elements makes the premises
light and spacious and gives them a modern look.
The modern production of translucent
structures is a complex and multifaceted process
that requires a qualitative work with the engineering and
technical documentation. Since 2002 the company “DAK” successfully has
worked in the Group of Companies "Altis-Holding";
the Company implements "turn key" high-tech
solutions for facade of any engineering, producting or assembling complexity. A
particular attention is paid to our experience of spayder
glazing systems inplementing.
The popuarity of the facade glazing has increased in the Ukrainian construction market. An architectural glass like a longeval, durable and creative material has thoroughly consolidated its positions in the highly qualified commercial and residential real estate. The use of the all-glass facades changes an architectural appearance of the modern cities putting into reality the ideas of establishing an open space; so that a building becomes an integral part of an urban nature.
The advantages of the glass facades:
-
attractive appearance;
-
cost reduction in building lighting;
-
strength structure;
-
corrosion resistance and durability;
-
the most effective use of internal building space;
-
the high speed of constructions;
- fire resistance;
-
diversity of the used glass;
-
environmentally clean material.
A construction of buildings with a high percentage of glazing (60-70%) requires the special regulations in energy conservation and security. The characteristics of facade are the large format, the increased security requirements, variations of the colors and a range of the technical solutions. The impact of ultraviolet radiation, reliability attachment to the construction and safety of the used materials are taken into account while manufacturing and assembling.
In 2004 the world leading organic-silicon produser, the company "Dow Corning" certified the structural glazing works of the company "Altis-Glass". The glass tempering furnace belong to "Altis-Glass" is the only one in Ukraine; it produce the tempered glass that is essential if the glass is used as a bearing element. In the spring of 2005 "Altis-Glass" received a certificate from the company "Guardian", it let the Company tempere the glass with magnetron (off-line) coating.
