Alexander Glimbovsky: "Let's build a terminal in Lviv no worse than in Borispol

Recently Mariupol construction company "Azovinteks", which is now successfully carrying out work on the construction of a new stadium in Lviv and the reconstruction of the runway at the local airport for Euro 2012, joined by the people of Kiev. It is a powerful Capital Group of Companies "Altis-Holding will implement this project to build a modern international terminal for GP" International airport "Lviv". General Director of "Altis-Holding" Alexander Glimbovsky confident that his firm quality and in time to honor its contract. After the experience of constructing similar facilities of the company, forming part of this holding have accumulated huge.
-- Alexander Vatslavovich what made you take up such a complex object in terms of the current difficulties in funding the work on all projects related to Euro 2012 in Ukraine, as well as the absence of reliable long as an investor?

- First, to win these tenders, we do not get used. For example, last year the company in the group "Altis-Holding, won the public tender. I am referring to our company "SpetsBudBeton, which began work on the device-gate terminal complex at the airport" Borispol ". As for investors, there are different situatsii.Prezhde all it concerns domestic investors - is mostly young companies that do not have enough experience in such projects. This means that the implementation is almost always changing the concept of building tenants change, the technical problem. And any deviation even at the level of the concept lead to major changes in the construction process.

- If you go back to the theme of Euro 2012, what are the main challenges for the construction you see here today?

- Construction in general now needs to be supported. I am referring to accelerate decision-making on the construction of facilities for EURO-2012. This applies to sports facilities and infrastructure. In 2009, virtually nothing has been done. Tenders for the construction of roads and infrastructure have been started in almost August, when the frost is not far off. It's a crime if the money is available, project documentation is, and tenders are conducted when there is no time for delivery.
We have a huge amount of time spent on calls. We must act immediately to ensure that not only do the training for Euro 2012, but also support our construction company. For example, the experience of the EURO in Portugal showed that support for the government has significantly helped the Portuguese companies. Today they have evolved to larger sizes, it is quite competitive in Europe, come to us. After all, the Portuguese government gave them a priority opportunity to participate in international tenders. And we have the tender conditions prescribed for some reason, exclusively under the foreign companies. Well come to us 10 of their engineers and 20-30% of the funds will go abroad, and Ukraine will only have cost price. I want to say that without the help of the state will solve this problem. This is the main critical moments, decisions on which povinnni be taken immediately.

- It's no secret that 2009 was one of the most difficult for the construction industry. How crisis might affect your business and how you think you can survive in such situations and ensure success?

- Yes, 2009 was very difficult for the builders ... Of course, we assumed that the crisis may occur, but not so fast. Most of the projects Altis - Holding still belongs to the commercial real estate. Impact of the crisis on the industry is less because it is not associated with mortgage lending, as we are building through targeted lending. Construction - this is a great mechanism that can not stop, for example, to freeze an object, we need a few weeks and then once a month to unfreeze it. We are mobilizing our efforts to meet with our investors, explain the situation, looking for compromises. So this crisis is for us is a great lesson. Over the last 5-7 years due to the market situation Ukrainian construction companies to relax a little. But business, like life itself, is cyclical: ascending inevitably fall, then rise again. There will be hard for everyone, but particularly - to small companies do not have access to credit resources and years of accumulated credit reputation. However, I can say that the market situation is complicated, but manageable.

 - In conclusion, whether in Lviv finally a modern, European-comfortable room terminal?

- As for us, we are quite able to build in the capital of Galicia's terminal facilities as good or even better than in Borispol.  There would have been on the funds and imperious will, above all, committed to its manufacturer and builder.
