After the reconstruction, the Post Square became a pedestrian area, and the only one in the capital with direct access to the Dnipro brim. Moreover, the new road junctions helped to separate traffic flows and prevent traffic jams near the entrance to the square.
According to the plan, a 231 m long transport overpass was built from Borychiv Uzviz Street to Naberezhne Shosse.Under the approaches there was built a 165 m long transport tunnel. The tube has six lanes, three lanes for traffic in each direction.
Due to the planned regular traffic, without the use of traffic lights, the land area increased from 9.300 to 16.300 cars per hour.
An underpass is to be built for pedestrians from the Nativity Christ Church across Borychiv Street to the side of the Parliamentary Library and the Fairmont Hotel.
